Study On Special-Shaped RIM-PU Product

To meet the technique requirement of Special-shaped RIM-PU, the influence of isocyanate-modifying mode on the properties of RIM-PU, factors on effecting elasticity and toughness of RIM-PU, reology of the RIM-PU system and the storage stability of blend polyol for RIM-PU were studied. The aging performance of RIM-PU product, the selecting of formulation and the RIM technique parameters were also studied.The main results are as follows:the polyol for special shaped RIM-PU was a poly ether polyol with average functionality of 2.4 and equivalent weight of 2000. The isocyanate component was a mixture of c-MDI and urethane modified isocyanate. The cream time was delayed by dehydrated MgCl2 and the storage stability of polyol blend was enhanced by the magnesium chloride and water-proof agent. The suitable formulation and technique parameters for special shaped RIM-PU were determined.
