Inclined orbit car is a transport which is driven on the inclined orbit, it has much excellence such as speediness, carrying large cargo, and which has been widely used in the inclined coal mine, ramp port, places of tour and so on. With economic development and improvement of people's living standard, the application of the inclined orbit car also entered a stage of rapid development. However, the working environment of inclined orbit car is special, it works only by a traction rope uplink and downlink. At the same time, due to frequent start and brake of the inclined orbit car, traction rope is to withstand variable load, it is easy to achieve fatigue limit and disconnect. Then cable car would slide under the action of gravity, and lead to security incidents. In order to protect the safety of the transportation of inclined orbit car, the importance of inclined orbit car safety must be recognized. Moreover, the strict security mechanisms must be established. Thus this topic starts from the purpose, analysis safety performance of the inclined orbit car's auto brake safety device.To analytically study according to the inclined orbit car's safety regulations, and access to relevant information and documentation about this topic. Drawing useful information through analyzing the brake in more practical application of engineering. At the same time, and making use of the information in accordance with the actual situation of inclined orbit cart to identify location of the install and the size of the wedge-shaped box of inclined orbit car's auto brake safety device after the broken rope. According to the different working conditions, to describe the braking process of the cable car in the downlink and uplink respectively. Establishing three-dimensional solid model by using of three-dimensional modeling software Pro/ENGINEER. Then the three-dimensional solid model is imported into mechanical system simulation software(ADAMS) through transmission functions of data between the software, and established a virtual prototype of auto brake safety device. This paper carries out dynamic virtual prototype simulation of auto brake safety device, and outputs curve of displacement, velocity, acceleration and braking force in the brake process. Finally the paper establishes the optimal design model of the main components in auto brake safety device, then carry out finite element analysis and structural optimization design based on the principle of optimal design in ANSY. Making components to meet the strength requirements and achieving the ideal state geometry. Improving further security and reliability of inclined orbit car, at the same time, providing theoretical basis for research and application of inclined orbit car.
