With the development of bamboo processing industry of our country, a variety of bamboo based panels which are playing an increasingly wider role in China's economic construction and people's lives appeared. Bamboo processing industry has become an emerging industrial industry of China. However, it also produces a large number of processing residues in the process of producing at the same time. During this time, a lot of valuable bamboo resources are consumed and wasted, and ecological problems are caused to some extent. Therefore, making use of bamboo processing residues has important significance in making full use of China's bamboo resources, maintaining ecological balance, exploiting a new source of raw material of man-made panel, offering more man-made panel production for the market, and achieving sustainable development of bamboo processing industries of China.On the basis of the analysis in producing process, the quality of the product and the case of practical application of a variety of wood-based panel in china, The study which takes bamboo and wood processing residues as raw materials processes bamboo processing residues into the bamboo particles by some shape and specifications, and processes wood processing residues into wood fibers, then combines the two materials according different ratios in accordance with the structural design theory of composite materials, and then make it a novel bamboo-wood particle fiber composite board through hot pressing and gluing. The shape and specifications of bamboo particle, the mixing ratio of bamboo particle and wood fiber, the gluing methods and the quantity of glue of the materials, the structure of the panel, hot-pressing process and the relevant parameters are discussed and studied deeply and a series of process and technical parameters in producing the product are put forward in the research. A good foundation is made for the next intermediate experiment. At the same time, the product is compared with bamboo particleboard and medium density fiberboard of same type. The results indicate that the composite material has better physical and mechanical properties. And it is indicated that it has good combined effects. In the research of mechanical properties of the product, the prediction model of the apparent modulus of elasticity and the bending deflection model of the product are built, and the mechanical properties are studied deeply. Similar studies have not been reported in China. It has some innovations. Comparing the measured results with the calculated results of the product, it is found that the prediction model of the apparent modulus of elasticity and the bending deflection model of the product fit the measured results well.The main process parameters gained in the research:the length size of bamboo particle is 1~20mm, the ratio of bamboo particle and wood fiber is 65%:35%, the average using of glue in the material is 10%, the density of the product is 0.8~0.85g/cm3, the hot pressing temperature is 120~130℃, the pressing time is 60s/mm. The product is detected by the standard of GB/T17657-1999. The MOR of the product is 32.5MPa. The MOE of the product is 3041MPa. The 2h water-drinking thickness swelling of the product is 1.7%. The inner connecting strength of the product is 1.45MPa. The physical and mechanical properties of the product reach or exceed the national standard of particleboard and fiberboard.
