Packing Of Health Food In China: Key Problems And Countermeasures

Food industry is considered the rising-sun industry in the 21st century. And health food is regarded as the food in the 21st century. At recent years, there is a positive domestic and foreign trend on R&D, production and sale of health food. Lager-scale of production and marketing of health food provides a favorable opportunity for packing design. However, packing of health food in China is still lagged behind, which is harmful to food industry. Therefore, R&D of packing design of health food may accelerate the progresses of packing industry and food industry.First of all, functions of package of health food was discussed. On the basis of the investigation of the current status of health food packing, the key problems in China were analyzed. The major questions were as follows. 1) Few green packing was applied to packing industry. 2) Excess pakage occurred frequently. 3) Safety of packing was still a challenge. 5) Packing lacked the national features. All of these problems have affected the development of packing industry and food industry in China.In order to facilitate the development of packing design of health food in China, strategies, countermeasures and ideas were proposed. Firstly, green packing of health was studied. Life cycle assessment methodology was used in package of health food for the first time. Secondly, packing with national features are discussed. Thirdly, enlightenment of the scientific beauty (especially the beauty of maths) on packing design was discussed. Esthetics in design was also discussed. Fourthly, moderate packing, packing with sincerity and trust and safety of package were studied.In particular, packing design (e.g. green packing) of health beer was studied. The results is most probably useful to improve packing design of health food in China.At last, future directions of packing design of health food in China were proposed.
