Packing is the core component of distinllation towers, with the rapid development of structured packing , the application of packing towers are increasingly widespread. Meanwhile, the design requirements of structured packing tower become higher and higher. This article was mainly focus on the development of plastic silk screen ripple packing, press extend orifice board ripple packing, ceramic board ripple packing and perform grid packing of the calculation method. When choosing the calculation mode of the structured packing tower in the design we should consider the accuracy and be able to caculate the various data rapidly and conveniently. This calculation strategy used appropriate diameter, tower high, flooding, pressure drop, liquid holdup, HETP in order to correspond with these structured packing. The article put forward shortcut calculation system for these four structured packing tower and provide support of method and software for design structured packing towers and hydrodynamic characteristics quickly and accurately.At present, there are less research about load capability chart of the packing tower and the stable region under the processing condition. On the basis of studying and analyzing some dates of performances of hydrodynamics and mass transfer, a kind of new protract method for limited line of these four structured packing′s loading chart was put forward. Microsoft Visual VB 6.0 Chinese version was used to compile Structured Packing Shortcut Design-optimize System(SPSDS)program to protract Structured Packing′s Loading chart and input results.The thesis selected two examples of industrial applications to analyze and evaluate the software. The assessment showed that the software SPSDS is easily to use and the results are accurate, load capability chart of packing tower are visual and intuitive. The software is a powerful tool for technology exploring, designing and rebuilding.
