Molecular imprinting technology is a new and potential separation technique for preparing specialized recognition media that is called molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). The process of the preparation consists of:(1) template molecule and functional monomer, which have complementary functional groups, formed host-guest complexes in the appropriate solvent; (2) heat or photo-induced initiation and then polymerization; (3) extracting the template molecule from the polymer, which leaves cavities inside the polymers that are complementary in terms of size, shape, and functional groups orientation to those of the template molecules. They have been extensively used in chromatographic separation, antibody mimic, solid-phase extraction, biosensors, catalysing reaction and other relevant fields. In domestic, the incident of infant milk powder contaminated by melamine arouse kidney stones, result in melamine testing became the focus of attention. Now, melamine testing of food and feed residues usually employs liquid chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry in domestic and overseas. Since milk and milk products feed sample matrix more complex, low capacity of liquid chromatography detection; high cost of mass spectrometry instruments, resulting in detection methods can not be universal. Therefore, to find a measure of quickly and accurately and cost analysis of melamine in food is an in dire need of question. This study compared the three-trimethylolpropane acrylate (TRIM) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) as crosslinker, melamine as template, synthesize melamine MIPs by bulk polymerization. The infrared characterization of molecularly imprinted polymers, thermal stability sex, and adsorption properties was reviewed. Infrared characterization showed absorption peak of-NH3, both the thermal stability of molecularly imprinted polymer is almost no difference; to TRIM as crosslinker of the MIPs obtained when the adsorption capacity is higher than the EDMA crosslinking agent obtained the MIPs. It proved that TRIM as crosslinker obtained MIPs which the adsorption ability is perfect. In this paper, a series of concentration of crosslinker for melamine molecular imprinted polymer was synthetized by precipitation polymerization. It discussed that the amount of crosslinking agent influence on the MIPs morphology, thermal stability and adsorption properties. The results showed that the thermal stability of molecularly imprinted polymer with crosslinker concentration relation is very small. When the crosslinking agent dosage of 9.48mmol, the morphology of MIPs showed for the rule of the ball, and got a perfect imprinting effect; when incress or cut down the amount of crosslinking agent the ball were not so regular. Adsorption effect is not good. It proved that precipitation polymerization is a good method for preparation of imprinted polymers.
