Coptis chinensis is the Coptis chinensis Franch's roots belonged to Perennial herb of Ranunculaceae, whose the active ingredient is berberine alkaloids.Alkaloids are the main active ingredients in Coptis chinensis Franch, the sum of berberine, jatrorrhizine, palmatine and coptisine account for 90% of total alkaloids, in which the content of berberine exceeds 50%.The paper repored the study on the testing method of the nature of Chinese herb, and the nature of Zuo Jin Pill(ZJP).Pepsin and erepsin were added in this experiment additionally, which based on the traditional semi-bionic extraction method, stirred and extracted near the body temperature, and imitated the process of drugs operating in the gastrointestinal further, then achieved the innovation of Chinese herbal new extract-technologyand lay the foundation for the modernization of traditional preparation.1,identify the main component of the active sites in concentrated ZJW and determinate its content.Identified and determined by the TLC and HPLC etc., the quality of coptis chinensis and Fructus Evodiae Rutaecarpae both meet the standareds of Uh.P, and established the chromatographic conditions of main alkaloid in recipe, which were tested by high performance liquid chromatography in this study.2,Studying technology of concentrated ZJW.By studying Coptis's Position by medicine, the choice of extraction solvent and time, the effect of acid type and Ph value on extraction rate, amount of span60 and the original powder added to technical process, the determination of preparation technology is choosing upside and middle part of rhizome to shatter, then adding into artificial gastric juice with Hydrochloric acid adjusting acidness. Extracted three hours at about 37℃, then filtered, dried and got extract. In accordance with the 3.0% of span60 and 10% of the original powder extract added into the preparations to get final product.3,Pharmacodynamic Evaluation of concentrated ZJWTo establish a model of pain of mice and diabetes, it showed that the ZJW could significantly inhibit the physical pain and improve alloxan induced diabetic mice symptoms, and significantly reduces blood sugar. At the same time, it is better in persistence and improving symptoms than Chinese medicine preparation Tang Maikang.4,Stability testing and quality evaluation of concentrated ZJWTest showed that the product is not stabile to heat, light, and humidity, if stored in a cool and dark place the product is more favorable for its stability.5,Safety Evaluation of concentrated ZJWAcute toxicity test results showed that concentrated ZJW is low toxic compounds. The long-term toxicity results show that concentrated ZJW, according to 400mg/kg, 800mg/kg and 1600mg/kg dose per day fed to rats, equivalently 6 times,12 times and 24 times to the clinical adult daily dose, continuously fed 180 days, has no toxic reactions.
