Cu-Sn,Cu-Co-based and Cu-Fe-based alloys matrix are fabricated using a pressure sintering process at the different sintering temperatures,the performance of Cu-based alloy matrix is improved by a process optimization methods further improved the performances of Cu-based matrix diamond composites.The phase distribution,microstructure,hardness,yield structure and compressive yield structure are tested by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Electron probe micro-analysis(EPMA), Wive dispersive spectrometer (WDS),Optical microscope,Brinell Hardness Tester,Impact tester and Universal mechanical testing instrument. In order to discussed effects of sintering temperatures on the performances of three kinds of alloy matrix. The results showed as follows:â’ˆCu-Sn alloy matrix is composed by pure copper phase and Cu-Sn binary solid solution,and the Cu-Sn solid solution is taked by the shape of dendrite distribution.Furthermore,the higher sintering temperature,the larger size of dendrite and larger field of transition zone, dendrite orientation perpendicular to the direction of hot pressing. Sn and Cu exist element concentration gradient from the center of dendrite to the copper phase.â’‰Cu-Co-based alloy matrix is composed by gray prealloyed partlcles, Cu-Sn binary solid solution, copper-rish phase and interface between partlcles and matrix. The higher sintering temperature,the more dendrite phase,in addition,the diffusion of carbon occurs.The holding force form matrix to partlcles becomes larger and the diffusion of partlcles becomes more uniform.â’ŠCu-Co-based alloy matrix is composed by partlcle phase,deep gray dispersion iron-rish phase,metal oxide and Cu-Ni-Sn ternary solid solution. The higher sintering temperature,the more refined size of iron phase and better dispersed distribution. Orientation is perpendicular to the direction of hot pressing.â’‹As the sintering temperature increased,the mechanical properties of Cu-based alloy matrix enhanced, the mechanical properties of Cu-Co-based alloy matrix is the best in this three kind of matrix.
