In this thesis, some methods such as forming macromolecular metal complexes, using reductant and oxygant to generate insoluble substances have been applied to solve the problem of metal enrichment and separation in hydrometallurgical process.It includes five parts as follows:1. We have made a literature review on the development and research progress of the enrichment and separation technology in metallurgy process.2. Copper(â…¡) coordination polymer with terephthalic acid(Cu-BDC, Fig a) and fumaric acid(Cu-FMA, Fig b) have been studied, and the adsorption behavior of terephthalic acid and fumaric acid towards Cu2+ has been studied in detailed. The complexes have been studied by means of element analysis, IR spectra, atomic adsorption, scanning electron microscopy.The results show that these macromolecular complexes we synthesized are structurally specific, insoluble in most organic solvents, and they can be used in the metal enrichement and separation.The craft is simple and the raw material can be used for repeated use, and it is a new green separate technology comparing to the transition one.3. Series copolymers of different ratio styrene and maleic anhydride were synthesized. Adding 4-bro-phenol to the copolymer under selected condition, poly-styrene/4-(4-Bro-Phenoxy)-4-Oxo-2-Butenoic Acid (PSt-BPOBA) was synthesized. The adsorption behavior of the ligand towards RE3+ has been studied in detailed. The structure of the complex as follows: 4. In this thesis, the copper was reduced to form a monovalent copprious complexing anion, and then removal agent was added for making it generate precipitation. The reaction temperature, reaction time and the amount of reductants and copper removal agent should be controled in reaction process for the best effection. This is a potential method to resolve the problem of separation copper and nickel in metallurgical process.5. Some valent variable metal ions nickel, cobalt, manganese and lead can be oxidized to form a kind of resoluble precipitation using easily get and low price chlorine. The reaction as follows: 2Ni(OH)2+Cl2+2OH-=2Ni(OH)3+2Cl-OH- is from Mg(OH)2, which often coexist with these valent variable metal. The grain size of precipitation that reaction produced is bigger than that of hydroxides. The craft is simple and can be applied in the industrial process which is the separation the valent variable metal with calcium and magnesium.
