| The explosion of flammable gas, flammable liquid steam and dust is a major accident that is harmful to people's production and living. It is necessary to prevent effectively the hazard of explosion, to master the explosion principle accurately, to study the explosion characteristic and to establish corresponding explosion test apparatus.The explosion research of flammable gas, flammable liquid steam and dust was reviewed. Explosion principle and explosion characteristic of flammable gas, flammable liquid steam and dust were discussed. Spherical explosion chamber and pipeline sections were studied using pressure vessel design theory.The explosion chamber's shape, material size and structure were determined, the sealing head, flange, observation mirror, bracket and electrode were also designed, calculated, and checked under guaranteeing the safety of explosion test apparatus. The mixing mode of flammable liquid and air was researched, the mixing mode is like this: the flammable liquid is heated up to boiling point by hot air, then, it is injected into mixing nozzle using ejector, at last, the mixing fluid is ejected into spherical explosion chamber from mixing nozzle. The nozzle size, mixing chamber size, diffusion room size of ejector were designed and calculated, the mixing problem of flammable liquid steam and air was solved. The hot air producing apparatus was made and the length of serpentuator was also determined. Dust nozzle, dust container and a gas storage room were designed to solve how to transport dust into spherical explosion chamber and how to mix uniformly with air in the spherical explosion chamber.The pressure-bearing and sealing property of spherical explosion chamber were proved to be good by hydraulic test after completion of processing. The spherical explosion test apparatus was proved to be reasonable and it can meet the needs of experiment by making methane gas, ethanol liquid and aluminite powder experiments.
