The coal mine gas is a kind of clean and potential energy. It is hard to use because of the characteristics of low methane concentration. The thermal reverse flow oxidation technology is an effective way to oxidize the lower concentration methane and recover the heat energy during oxidation process. The honeycomb ceramic regenerator is used in this technology. A test is build to research the performance of honeycomb ceramics. The monitoring and control system is an important part of the test. The main function of the system is data acquisition and control. So, a reliable and stable control system is necessary to the test.According to the characteristic of the test, the monitoring and control system is build combin PC control system and lower position control system. The programmable logic controller (PLC) is chose to build the lower position control system. After analyzing the need of the test, the PLC and function module are confirmed. The CX-Programmer software is used to program the PLC. The segmentation function of the software makes it easier to program management. The Kingview based PC control system is consisted with three pictures. It has friendly interface, display and control function. The ODBC technology, which is provided by Kingview, is used to connect the Access database so as to realize the data acquisition. During experiment, it is hard to adjust the experimental condition. So, the PID and parameter self-adjusting instruction of PLC is introduced to raise the efficiency of adjustment.The result shows that the monitoring and control system works well. The control response and data record work timely and accurately. During experiment condition adjusted, the PID parameter self-adjusting function of PLC work rapid and stable. Above all, the monitoring and control system is well qualified to the honeycomb ceramics performance test.
