Ecological restoration of coal mining subsidence area is one of the hot research topics in the world. This paper studied ecological restoration and landscapes reconstruction of the coal mining subsidence area with high groundwater in plain area, taking Xuzhou Jiuli Lake subsidence area as example.Based on the domestic and international research and practice, and combined the theory of landscape ecology and restoration ecology, this paper analyzed the water resources distribution, environment quality and pollution emission situation of the Jiuli Lake coal mining subsidence area.This paper found out that the ecosystem degradation and the landscape pattern change caused by coal mining are:nature environment damage; irrational land use and natural landscape changes; a wide range of perennial water of the subsidence area;the simple existing model of land reclamation; unreasonable layout and poor flow of water system; high degree of landscape fragmentation and so on.In order to improve the ecological environment and reshape the natural landscape, this paper gave certain solutions, including:improve the soil quality to estore the land environment; carry out integrated environmental management to control the pollution; construct artificial wetland water to purify environment;dredge rivers of Jiuli lake water system;reconstruct the landscape pattern and so on. Using the geographic information system software ArcGIS to spatial analysis, this paper divided the subsidence areas into 7 types. They are:Suitable for built-up areas, Can be built-up areas, Key environmental improvement areas, Forest ecosystem conservation areas, Green space and parks of buffer zones, Industrial landscape areas, and Roads and other green corridors.Finally, this paper designed the specific plan of the ecological agriculture and sightseeing agriculture, industrial landscape and industrial heritage, artificial wetland, ecological restoration buffer zones, in order to repair the coal mining subsidence damaged on the regional environment, coordinate the ecological, social and economic development of the Jiuli Lake coal mining subsidence area, and meet the sustainable development need of Jiuli District and Xuzhou City.
