The high voltage and the strong current produced during the wire segmented explosion are measured to deepen the understanding on the preparation of the nanometer powder and spraying by using the wire electrical explosion. Combined with the actual test requirements, a test device is designed and produced to measure the pulse high voltage and the strong current generated at the moment of the wire electrical explosion, and the device is mainly composed of the switch type resistance bleeder, the inner integral type Rogowski coil and the digital storage oscilloscope. This test device whose volume is small is low cost and easy to control. Base on the test device, a wire electrical explosion experiment has been conducted with the test device of the segmented electrical explosion in the laboratory. The experiment has proved that this designed test device has a high testing precision and preferable repeatability and stability. It satisfies the design and test requirements. The condition of wire electrical exploding in the high voltage field is that the strong current flow must transfer to the segmented wire by electrode immediately. Form the experiments, the plasma arc generated between the segmented wire ends and the electrode before the wire exploded. Because of the bypass role of the plasma arc, the buried small segmented wire can not explode and then be remained. The series electrical explosion experiments of the segmented wire in the high voltage electric field are carried out by changing the electrode gap, the wire length and the electric voltage. The results have also revealed that when the electrical explosion process parameters are reasonable matched, the explosion of energy density and the instantaneous power achieve the maximum. The higher the initial charge voltage, the shorter the time of the electric outbreak, and the sedimentary energy on the wire is higher. The numerical analysis method is used to simulate the wire electrical exploding process. Based on the simulate results, experiments is designed, Then, the exploding process conditions are obtained for the preparation of the powder. And the following conclusions are obtained: if the electrode gap is determined, the energy density deposited on the segmented wire willProject Supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China(51061011) increase correspondingly when the initial charge voltage increases. If the charging voltages are the same, the energy density deposited on the segmented wire will decrease when the diameter of the segmented wire becomes larger.Based on the theoretical analysis and experimental research of the electrical explosive characteristic for the wires. It has reference value for understanding the physical process of the wire electrical explosion, and designing the parameters about the preparation of powder and spraying using the electrical explosion system.
