The water resource is the basic material of human life, but the lakes and the reservoirs are also the important component of freshwater resources. With the population increases and the social economy development rapidly, the demand for water of people is dramatically increased. Meanwhile, The global water body pollution has become increasingly serious day by day. Eutrophication is one of the extreme water environment problems since it has become one of the problems facing of the current water environmental protection.Worldwide, for example, there are different levels of water body pollution incidents in United States, Japan, Britain and Australia. While, our country is also the victimized region in the eutrophication lake all over the world. Increasingly serious water body eutrophication leading to the water ecology catastrophic events aquatic finally.Wuliangsuhai is one of eight big freshwater lakes in China, which is the second largest freshwater lake in Yellow River. As one of the Lakes and reservoirs Project Survey, which are the Lakes and reservoirs of key national security investigation and assessment of ecology. Mainly because Wuliangsuhai is the typical representative Large-scale lake of shallow plant in New Mongolian Plateau, and is also same latitude biggest natural wetland in the Earth. However, in recent years, due to natural and human activities, the water resources quantity reduces, eutrophication aggravation in Lakes, the biodiversity is destructed, the ecological environment is deteriorating day by day. restrict the Social and economic development of the lake district.This article through a large number of measured data and survey data, carry on the analysis of an outbreak of yellow algae in Wuliangsuhai in recent years and evaluate the status of aquatic ecological disaster. On the basis of the lake eutrophication in the previous predecessor studied to establish ecology cataclysm appraisal method. Evaluation of the overall water ecological security condition in Wuliangsuhai at present. Finally, proposes the ecological safety measures and expect this can provides uses for reference to ecological security safeguard and the ecology restoration for Wuliangsuhai.Select Wuliangsuhai as the object of ecological security investigation and assessment, carries out the lake ecology cataclysm condition research, not only has the great important theory significance, but also has a wide range of practical applications value.
