Wood-plastic composites (WPC) is a new type of material which use the wood fiber or plant fiber as the main components, and compound with thermoplastic resin or other materials after pretreatment. WPC overcame single material's faults, and hold concurrently double performance which belongs to wood and plastic. So its comprehensive performance is excellent. Overseas has studied wood-plastics composites in-depth, developed various composite materials and products, such as the PE/wood composites, PS/wood composites, PP/wood composites, PVC/wood composites, ABS/wood composites etc. Among them, PVC/wood composites which use polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin as substrate possess strong chemical stability, high strength, acid and alkali resistance, water immersion resistance, insect-resistant, fire-retardant, low cost and other advantages, has been widely used in building and decorative materials.This paper intends to adopt a new modifier M pretreatment of wood flours, uses the traditional hot pressing to preparation of PVC/wood composites. In this process, adding AS and polyamide wax respectively. Discusses their influences on the tensile strength, bending strength, impact strength, water absorption and hardness of PVC/wood composite materials. Uses the SEM observation of impact section form. It has important theoretical significance to improve overall performance of PVC/wood composite materials to explore new ways.The experimental results indicated that:after the modifier M processing wood powder, wood-plastic composites'properties have improved. As the addition of M increased, the tensile strength, bending strength, impact strength and hardness were tested increased first and then decreased; water imbibition showed a trend of decreased first and then increased. The impact section of composites were observed by SEM. The results show that the smallest cross-section roughness and phase interface is rather ambiguous when the modifier M is 2 portions, and the compatibility of the composite is good right now. The tensile strength, flexural strength and hardness are significantly increased when added AS, but the impact strength of composites has been weakened. The tensile strength and flexural strength of composites has been weakened when added polyamide wax, it did not play an enhanced role. But a small amount of polyamide wax can enhance the impact strength and hardness of composites, excess is the opposite. The results of orthogonal test about Modifier M, AS and polyamide wax modified WPC show that:It is more appropriate and the comprehensive mechanical properties of composites is better when the modifier M is 2 portions, AS 8 portions and polyamide wax is 4 portions.
