Study on the gully erosion, surface roughness, bulk density and vegetation of the three coal mine dump (the inner dump, the YANBANG dump and the west dump) of Yimin Open-cut Coal Mine Dump Soil, analyzed the erosion and recovery of each dump under certain conditions. At the same time, laid six specifications of biodegradable PLA fiber slope to analyze the dump slope of surface roughness, slope erosion and channel changes; Determined the erosion biodegradable PLA fiber under the bursting, tensile properties; Planed the cost of PLA biodegradable fiber slope.The results were shown:(1) The inner dump was eroded the most serious, the YANBANG dump was eroded the least. The average surface roughness in descending order is the west dump> the YANBANG dump> the inner dump. The unit weight of YANBANG dump and the west dump were both relatively small, but permeable and breathable were good to growth for plants. The best vegetation restoration was YANBANG dump with mixed grass and shrub vegetation configuration mode, it took the longest period to recover, the main plant was the buckthorn vegetation, and it restored wel; Inner dump took the shortest time to recover, and the effect of vegetation type and coverage was worst, soil erosion was serious.(2) The two-cooperation of PVC pipe + shovel was the best way of PLA protecting. It was affected by the weather and degree of particle thickness, the loading speed of wet soil was 1 / 3 faster than dry soil, and non-uniform particles loading speed dropped by more than 1 / 8 compared to a uniform particle.(3) Paving PLA slope can increase the surface roughness significantly, controlled the surface runoff. In variety of PLA slope protection, the effect of 1m×1m square slope control was the best, 1.5m×1.5m rhomboid slope and 1.5m×1.5m square slope took second place, it is recommended that laying of 1.5m×1.5m square slope and 1.5m×1.5m diamond slope protection if considering the cost. (4) After using PLA fiber material, the exposed surface decreased significantly than the posted land, the bottom of the dump fell the fastest and the top fell slow. From the point of bursting strength, the 3m×3m square standard decreased the maximum, the 1m×1m square decreased the minimum.(5) Minor engineering measures is the primary means of erosion control, as a new project, the PLA slope protected measures was operational, and it is unrestricted by regional conditions, programs can be implemented in any erosion area, therefore, slope PLA possessed great development potential and broad prospects for application.
