Performance Improvement Of The Fluoride Ion Selective Electrode By Adding The Perchloric Acid Medium To The Internal Reference Solution

In this paper, a new method for modifying the fluoride ion-selective electrode (FISE) is proposed. It is based on that 0.001mol/L HClO4 is added to the internal reference solution and mixed with 0.1 mol/L NaF solution to modify the FISE. The experimental results show the modified FISE is easy to be activated. The balance time and the blank are obviously reduced. The Nernst curve is better than that of without HClO4. The method is usd to determine the fluoride in green tea and drinking water with satisfactory results.
