In recent years, many events on crude oil spill polluting ocean are quite impressed around the world. The methods of oil-spill processing mainly include chemical method and physical method. The disadvantage of chemical method is that it could lead to secondary pollution. The common characteristics of the materials of physical method are certain absorptive capacity to oil and high water absorption, the absorptive capacity is not good. Therefore, looking for a kind of adsorption materials which is not only environmentally friendly but has an excellent oil adsorption performance is imminent.As a new environmentally friendly material expanded graphite (EG) attracted more and more attention of researchers at home and abroad. EG is hydrophobic and oleophyllic, the absorption capacity for crude oil reached 80 g/g. At present, EG of industrial production is mostly produced by the high temperature furnace which has large energy consumption and high cost; EG produced by microwave only can be come true in the laboratory, and with the small production capacity and discontinuous production. The purpose of this dissertation is to study a kind of microwave technology which can implement industrial and continuous production. This microwave technology can solve the problems which exist in the production methods: the high temperature furnace in the industry and the small production by microwave.By means of XRD and Raman spectrum, prove that the microwave production is benefit to the integrated structure of graphite, and has the good orderliness and integrity. At the same time, make process optimization to the small doses of EG produced by microwave. Based on the advantage of the preparation of EG by microwave, we study a new kind of microwave preparation technology which can implement industrial and continuous production.Determine the expanded volume of EG produced by the microwave batch production equipment. The experimental results show that its expanded volume meets the industrial utilization value standard. Meanwhile make process optimization to this equipment. With the use of EG, the absorption capacity of the oil absorption felt increased almost 300 %. The comprehensive utilization of the oil absorption felt and EG, not only the absorption capacity of the oil absorption felt is remarkable improved, but also solve the problem that EG is difficult to be thrown and recovered on the sea. Quest the recycling of EG which has been used in the practical application.
