Wu Jia ta opencast coal mine is located in Ulan Moron county, Yi Jin huo luo banner, Ordos. The rock-soil of it is outsourced by motor transport, bulldozers bulldozing, and the transportation and dumping earth completely outsources. The carrying capacity of the outsourced vehicle is very small that lead to traffic density and larger transport workload. Because the high cost of motor transport, thus it causes that the cartage expense occupies the great proportion in all the cost to strip mine, especially the rapid increasing oil prices in the current result in a higher transportation costs. Wu jia ta opencast coal mine has many loading and unloading points, and has a more complex transport system. It needs to establish a reasonable transport system model and logistics planning model, and to develop a transport system optimization software to optimize and reduce the transportation costs. The current dumping cost has been high. The dumping parameters optimization is made under the stability of the dumping area, and the changes of the dumping parameters decide the changes of the transport distance, thus it decides all the expense in dumping.As considering for the security of waste dump in the past, the dumping parameters values were often gotten conservatively. This paper combines the practical problem of Wu jia ta mine to improve the dumping parameters, establish optimization model and provide an effective solution. In the situation that dumping parameters change, the dumping scheme is select to be bilateral internal dumping program to establish the dumping parameters and develop transport system model, so as to ultimately achieve the purpose that reduce the dumping cost by optimizing the average truck distance. In addition, the linprog function of Matlab is used by VB packaging technique to make a small calculation software, which provides a more convenient way on such issues.From researching the technology in dumping area and the transport system of the Wu jia ta opencast coal mine, we had carried on a purposed exploration for the problem of high cost of dumping transport and found a solution and established an optimized model. The optimized result shows that the average distance of the motor transport changed from the original greater than or equal 1211.6 m down to 1100.4 m, at least reducing by 111.2 m, and at least saving more than 0.8 million yuan a month of dumping transportation cost, that is a big save for the mine and provides some basis for the inner-dumping method of opencast coal mine.
