Nowadays, chemical industry in our country is developing in a high speed. Large-scale and super-scale chemical projects are increasing day by day. They promote the development of our country's economics greatly. But in the other hand, there are many devices and equipments in large-scale chemical projects, and one-time investment of projects is huge. There are many factors can have great influence on the safety of large-scale chemical project, such as man, machine, material, method, environment and management. These factors can cause many accidents easily. The root reason is the work of the inherent safety is not enough. So the systematic evaluation of large-scale chemical projects from the angle of inherent safety, development of effective and improved measures are becoming an issue which is urgent for academic community and chemical project builders.Considering this problem, this paper studied large number of articles, and on the basis of analyzing the influence which the factors have on the large-scale chemical projects, this paper set up an inherent safety evaluation index system of large-scale chemical project; and then this paper provided an evaluation model of large-scale chemical project based on Fuzzy Comprehensive Method; finally the study result of this paper is applied and verified in safety evaluation of one large-scale chemical project. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, this paper analyzed the current situation of safety evaluation in large-scale chemical project, introduced the conception and principles of inherent safety in detail, and then contrasted, analyzed and summarized several methods that commonly used in safety evaluation field; all of above are provided theoretical support for the safety evaluation of large-scale chemical projects.Secondly, this thesis set up an inherent safety evaluation index system of large-scale project. In the beginning, the paper compared several common inherent safety indexes, and summarized the shortages of these indexes. Then, according to the principles of designing index, the paper set up an inherent safety evaluation index system from the factors of man, machine, material, method, environment and management.Thirdly, considering the hierarchy of index system and evaluation process, and based on the analyze of Fuzzy Comprehensive Method, the paper gave the inherent safety evaluation model of large-scale chemical project, and explained the model's solving process in detail.Finally, based on the studied results above, the evaluation model is applied in evaluating inherent safety in one large-scale chemical project. The evaluation process achieved through C# Language Programming, which improved the evaluation efficiency. And analyzed the evaluation results, it also verified the feasibility and validity of the evaluation model.
