Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid based on oil as continuous phase. It is helpful for protecting reservoir and improving the drilling speed, and it has developed into the main drilling technology to solve the hydration problem of clay shale. At present it has become the important drilling means for many High difficult Wells, such as, High Temperature Deep Well , Large Angle Deviated Well, Horizontal Well and various of complex formation. We track the developments of international latest technology in this paper, and we have launched indoor and field basic research work on Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid technology systematically.First of all, we have studied Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid evaluation test method on the basis of access to domestic and foreign literature, Secondly, based on analyzing the basic components and performance adjusting mechanism of Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid, we have optimized treatment agent for Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid by indoor method, and confirmed the best added amount of the main treatment agent, such as organic soil, viscous agent, filter loss agent and wetting agents, etc. Eventually formed two sets of Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid foundation formula: less than 1.68 g/cm3 density and density to 2.0 g/cm3, and conducted the aging experiment of temperature-to-resistance 150℃successfully. Meanwhile,we have carried out a lot of indoor research work on settlement stability, resistance to pollution ability, inhibit ability and high temperature rheological properties of Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid formed by foundation formula, and established the on-site application process. we detailed the technical requirements of Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid according to the stratum situation of Shen 307 test well's 3709 ~ 4146m interval in Liaohe oilfield, we have obtained the first-hand material of Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid in the siteoperation process, and finally formed a set of complete Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid technology.The relevant research results laid a solid theoretical foundation for further research on domestic Holo-oil Base Drilling Fluid technology on field test, and it has the important practical value.
