Permanent stress and the thermal stress will be generated during annealing of glass.? The value and distribution of stress will directly affect cutting load, transport, and safety of daily using, which is an important indicator to measure the quality of glass.?This paper analyzes the generating process of stress in glass theoretically.? Based on ansys software, numerical model of float glass was established. Formation of internal stress in annealing process of glass was simulated, and the values of stress was calculated, which is useful to improve and enhance the actual annealing process of glass The main contents of the article is as follows:First, the annealing and relaxation theory of glass are introduced, the reason for the formation about temporarily stress and structural stress in the annealing process of glass is analyzed, and the calculation formula is derived.Second, based on analysis, elastic numerical model of glass is established. According to glass composition and data about annealing furnace, the properties of glass and boundary conditions are obtained, in addition, the producing process of and remnant thermal stress was simulated.According to the calculation data of structural stress and residual thermal stress, the numerical value of permanent stress in glass was obtained.In the end, the data about properties of glass at 380℃, 480℃and boundary conditions are calculated. According to the data, the annealing under ideal conditions of C region is simulated, then boundary conditions is changed to simulate Rapid Thermal Annealing, the numerical value of permanent stress in glass was obtained in this situation. Finally, based on data of Annealing furnace, the situation of? C space of annealing area where the temperature of glass is different between top and bottom plates is simulated.
