Rolling-cut double-side trimmer is the heart equipment of the whole refined district on heavy plate rolling production line; Compared to the traditional oblique edge shear, rolling-cut shear is an advanced shearing machine for medium plate. In the aspect of cutting efficiency and quality, it possesses many advantages. It uses the principle of multi-axis eccentric motion to rolling shear, and can make a high-precise bilateral fixed-width cut to steel plate which thickness of 50 mm, width 3000 mm~5000 mm. At present, Rolling Shear production technology of China enterprises most by the introduction of foreign technology, however, protection of foreign technology and domestic institutions less on the theory of Rolling Shear restrict the Rolling Shear equipment of independent research and development process. The trajectory of up blade has been always a weaknesses and gaps for motion analysis of double-side trimmer. Therefore, deep in search and proposed the approach of Rolling Shear mechanism design has important theoretical meaning and practical significance.This paper established a 4300 mm Rolling-cut Double-side Trimmer three-dimensional model and described the function and role of the respective institutions. With assistant of the Motion software, the paper deeply researched the variation law about flatness of the shear, step long and the variation of overlap, under the influence of factors such as initial phase angle, eccentricity, offsets, obtained the optimal value of the angle between the initial phase, summarized in a different bias and offset the influence of blade trajectory on the law, and obtained the optimal range of offset and eccentricity.Based on the traditional structure size and performance parameters of double-side trimmer, the paper analyzed to adjust the structure size and the transmission gear parameters, designed a new set of long-span double-side trimmer, and compared its trajectory on the cutting edge with the introduction trimmer, revealed that the new long-span double-side trimmer possess more superior blade path.The paper adopt finite element method to simulate the process of cutting steel for two kind of double-side trimmer which the one is introduced and the other is alteration, extracted crankshaft torque and analyzed the trend of torque for two kind double-side trimmer. The paper also analyzed the effect of motor input power and torque on phase angle.
