This article aims to deal with problems in the development and application process of vertical and horizontal three spin in catalytic cracking process.For example, with the growth of handling capacity, the number of mind three spin single pipe increased continuously.The uneven or inconformity of single pipe pressure drop can cause return to mix.And in other cases, given the high demand of technological requirement,it may be out of shape caused by inaccurate manufacturing process.This research aims to develop a retrofit three spin which can resolve the above problems and meet the increasing handling capacity.As a result, we decide to use large diameter whirlwind separation structure instead of traditional small diameter many tubular structure and did a complete measurement on vertical cutting type cyclone separator flow field. Based on datum flow field,we have did researches on operational parameters and influences on original flow field after the changes of structural parameters.We have got complete new recognition on tangential velocity,internal flow field of the shortcircuit flow,ash hopper nearby rotated into the vortex core.The experiment indicate that inlet baffle structure constructed a pre separation process at the entrance of separator.The pre separation process can dramatically improve tangential velocity,restrain shortcircuit flow and boost separation efficiency. I have also got some new ideas in the following work on the base of this experiment.
