Ringchainsarewidelyusedin mineplow,scraperconveyor,loaderandotherequipments.Themainreason ofbreakdownis thatring chain is suddenlystuckwhenthescraperconveyoris runing, such as the scraper chute being dislocation with link chain, bulk material passingthrough bottomofcoalshearer andetc.Theeffectofdifferentshapeofchainonontheimpactproperty of mine chain, and the effects of low temperature and strain rate on impact propertyofringchain arealso disccusedand analyzedinthestudy.The technical scheme of the dynamic analysis for mine chain is established based on theimpact dynamic theory and explicit integral algorithm. Finite element softwareANSYS/LS-DYNA is used to establish the dynamics analysis model of integral ring chain,integral ellipse chain, ring chain with a V-notch, ellipse chain with a V-notch. The velocity,acceleration, adopted energy and various stresses and strains, of these four chains arecalculated during impact loadng,andtheeffectsoftemperatureandstrainrateonthe dynamicperformance ofchains arealso analyzedinthisstudy.The results of the investigation indicate that the stress of ellipse chainis reduced and itsservicelife isimprovedbecausethe relationofcontact betweenthe ellipsechainislinetoline,which make the impact propertiesof ellipse chain is better than the ring chain.In other hand,the geometric size of ellipse chain is relatively reduced camparing with ring ellipse chainunder the condition of the strength of chain increasing. The results also indicate that the lowtemperature has little effect on the various stress of ring chain, however, the adopted energydecrease and initial breaking time shorten as the temperature decrease. The results alsoindicate that the strain rate has little effect on the various stressof ring chain, but the initialbreakingtimedecrease andadoptedenergy increasewhenthe strainrateisconsidered.
