Polymerization reaction was carried on using ethylene and propylene as main material,ENB as third monomer, hexane as solvent and hydrogen as molecular weight regulator,modified vanadylic chloride sequiethyl-aluminium-chloride as catalyst system.. The influence of catalyst system, catalyst and quantity, molecular weight regulator quantity,the ratio of n(Al)/n(V),the ratio of monomer,reaction pressure and temperature and time on polymer reaction are researched. Furthermore we analyze LANXESS 4703、7340 of foreign sample. By experiment we confirm polymerization process condition of goal product.We put forward EPDM commissioning project using for automobile seal strip at 20,000ton/y industrialized plant EPDM, and go on commissioning run at 20,000ton/y industrialized plant EPDM. We develop new brand EPDM using for seal strip, the properties of the resulting product were equivalent with products of the same kind of foreign LANXESS4703, completely making up automobile seal strip.The main result showed: EPDM new product using for seal strip is tested by Beijing chemical college,it’s vulcanization property,process property,physical property are similar with LANXESS4703.They meet to the need of seal strip and have good comprehensive property.Therefore the seal strip using for EPDM new brand achieve foreign same kinds product,and can completely substitute imported product for meeting to market need.
