Rubber is a polymer material,widely used in many fields.As an important equipment in rubber processing,mixing process of the traditional mixer plays an important role in the processability and quality of the rubber compound.In this paper,We mainly discussed the influence of mixing temperature,mixing time,mixing energy and dumping power on the Mooney viscosity of rubber compound.We have mainly done the following aspects:Firstly,on the basis of a series of documents,the mixer mechanism was analyzed,especially for the mixing time,mixing temperature,mixing energy,dumping power,Ram pressure,etc.The effects of mixing parameters on Mooney viscosity were discussed.Secondly,for typical mixing rubber such as the tread formula,Ply masterbatch formula and Ply final batch formula.For example,mixing time and dumping power,mixing time and mixing energy,mixing time and mixing temperature,mixing temperature and dumping power were designed and tested,for being used to control the Mooney viscosity.Two kinds of mixing process design method were characterized.One is the processing of mixed rubber with wider temperature permissible fluctuation,such as the tread formula and Ply masterbatch formula.The other is temperature sensitive rubber compound processing,such as Ply final batch formula.Finally,on the basis of the experimental results,we used Minitab statistical analysis software to establish the mathematical model of four kinds of mixing process,by mixing time and dumping power to control Mooney viscosity,by mixing time and mixing energy to control Mooney viscosity,by mixing time and mixing temperature to control Mooney viscosity,by mixing temperature and dumping power to control Mooney viscosity.Through the analysis of statistical data and theory,We have revealed the influence of mixing process parameters,such as mixing time,mixing temperature,mixing energy and dumping power on Mooney viscosity.And we put it into the actual industrial production of engineering verification.
