The Impact Of Industrialization And Urbanization On Air Pollution

With the advance of industrialization and urbanization process, our country has made remarkable achievements. But the disadvantages brought by the industrial civilization are becoming more and more significant. For example, the ecological environment is damaged, and air pollution is becoming more and more serious, haze weather phenomenon is more and more serious too. These phenomena bring huge influence to people’s life. Like all industrialized countries, our country’s air pollution problems associate with industrialization and urbanization.As a twin-engine of the country’s economic growth, industrialization and urbanization promote China’s economic prosperity gradually, but also bring serious air pollution problems. Haze weather invaded ceaselessly, making people reflect on the development of industrialization and urbanization way. The results showed that compression type of industrialization development accumulated environmental pollution; the environmental impact caused by rapid urbanization was the root cause of urban air quality decreased obviously and was a major cause of frequent recent haze phenomena. For example, the investment pulls the high-speed development in energy, metallurgy, heavy chemical industry and the construction industry. A large number of rural populations come to urban, which cause the proportion of urban population too high. It has exceeded the atmospheric environmental capacity. Industrialization and urbanization is also a "double-edged" sword. At a certain stage of industrialization and urbanization will also have some positive effects on the environment. Along with the advancement of industrialization and urbanization can provide a lot of money support and technical support for environmental management, and play a positive role on the improvement of the environmentIn order to evaluate the impact of industrialization and urbanization on the atmospheric environment and seek for a practical path to improve it from the source, and provide policy recommendations for governance haze weather,this paper combs related literature of industrialization, urbanization and atmospheric pollution, and then analysis the influence mechanism of industrialization and urbanization of atmospheric pollution, and compares the atmospheric environmental problems of international and domestic regional experience in the process of industrialization and urbanization. Finally, this paper takes empirical test based on 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt between 2005 and 2013. In the research of traditional library environment kuznets curve is the relationship between income growth and environmental quality. In this paper, I put industrialization and urbanization two variables into the traditional library environment kuznets curve model. The results show that the imitation curve of air pollution and industrialization and urbanization of Yangtze River Economic Belt don’t match environment kuznets curve, which depends on the type of pollutions.After theoretical and empirical analysis, at the end of the article I put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
