This paper is based on the national science and technology major projects "Common technology research and development of rolling functional components for high-grade machine tool". Based on independent research and development of the ball screw reliability test equipment, the instrument measurement and control system are designed and then optimized. The specific accelerated life test plan, and the life distribution model was also established. Put forward the effective analysis method on the test data, and according to the data of fault and fault-free, reliability and life assessment method is put forward. Finally measures are proposed to improve the reliability and life. Providing basis for evaluation methods, test instrument, test plan and the data processing method.The failure mechanism of ball screw is analyzed. And the relationship between ball screw’s life and the reliability and accuracy stable. The study of key technologies and research methods in ball screw is summarized.This paper also designed the experiment of instrument control system and testing system. Firstly, performance of the sensor is introduced and the software part of measurement and control system are designed and debugged.Small sample accelerated life test plan under constant stress to study evaluation method and reliability test method are proposed. And the three parameter weibull distribution model is selected as the ball screw vice life distribution model to assess the reliability and longevity of the ball screw. Finally the concrete reliability test plan, and test the products of the major domestic manufacturers are put forward.Temperature rise, noise, vibration test and friction torque error which collected in the reliability test are analyzed. The signal analysis methods and data processing method are put forward. The reliability of the screw is evaluated according to the test scheme of fault classification and weighting table.On this basis, from the perspective of improving the reliability of the domestic ball screw, according to the experimental results and theoretical analysis, effective measures are proposed to improve the reliability and service life of the screw.
