We have carried on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the toxic components in the food grade methyl silicone rubber for sale in this subject, and explored the effects of time, temperature and simulation solution onmigrationforthetoxic small molecule methylcyclic silicone in silicone rubber,and then we can get the pretreatment method to eliminate the safety hidden trouble before use. Finally, the safe service life of food grade silicone rubber was estimated by using the thermal air aging and Arrhenius equation.(1)In view of the hidden unsafe trouble that silicone rubber may contain harmful organic small molecule, we have carried on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of easy migration of organic molecules from two kinds of food grade silicone rubber which were domestic and imported by GC-MS. It is found that the composition is mainly of methylcyclic silicone in different molecular weight, and the content of methyl silicone rubber in domestic silicone rubber is more than that of imported silicone rubber.(2) In view of theenvironment in the actual use that the food grade silicone rubber pad which used forsteamingcan contact with the water, oil, acid environment,and eight kinds of food simulation solutions were carried out according to the national standard and the European standard, in order to study the migration efficiency of methyl-cyclic silicone in eight kinds of food simulation solution.(3) In view ofthe high temperature environment the food grade silicone rubber pad withstands in the actual use, we have explored the efforton migration rate for nine methylcyclic silicone under different temperature and time.Through the hot air aging experiment, we can get the best temperature and time for pretreatment beforeuse, to maximize the elimination of security risk.(4)In view of the fact that the food grade silicone rubber pad from the university dining hall is not contained any methylcyclic siliconeafterusing for three months, simulation experiment was used to study the effect of the water environment and the oily environment on the migration of methylcyclic silicone in silicone rubber,and the time methylcyclic silicone used for the migration out of the silicone rubber pad was obtained,in order to evaluate the safety of silicone rubber.(5) In view of the conditionthat methyl silicone rubber have poor mechanical properties under high temperature the food grade silicone rubber padhas, the end point when one of the mechanical properties was first to reduce to 50% was added.By hot air aging test in the experiment,we come to four points of the end aging and use the Arrhenius formula to calculate the life of the food grade silicone rubber padunder the temperature(100 degrees C) which was about 59.3 days,with every time costs 40 min, it is expected to repeat use for 2133 times,with six times a day, it is expected to repeat use for 355.4 days,and it is ecommended to replace once a year at least.
