Silicone rubber is more widely used in food contact materials and its safety is becoming more and more important during use. Cyclic silicone in silicone rubber will migrate to the food which can pose a threat to human health. In this paper, food contact silicone rubber was used as the main material to study the migration of cyclic silicone in the food contact silicone rubber. In this study, we use GC/MS as the main instrument analysis tool for the analysis the relative migration of the cyclic silicone in the silicone rubber.The studies mainly involve two aspects. Firstly, we explored the influencing factors of the toxic small molecule methyl cyclic silicone in silicone rubber migration such as the kinds of food simulation time, the migration temperature and the migration time. Use water, 4% ethanol solution (v/v),65% ethanol (v/v),n-hexane, n-heptane and 100% ethanol as food simulation. Carry on the migration experiments at 20?,40? and 60? respectively. Secondly,accelerated aging experiment was carried out to study the relationship between the migration rate of 12 kinds of cyclic silicones and the degree of aging. Aging temperature were 90?,120?, 150?, 180? and 200?. N-hexane was used as food simulation.The results show that: (1) 12 kinds of cyclic silicone almost don't migrate in water, 4% ethanol solution (v/v), 65% ethanol (v/v), while migration efficiency is good in n-hexane, n-heptane and 100% ethanol. Compared with the relative migration amount, the relative migration of 12 kinds of cyclic silicone is the highest when the food simulation is ethanol. Compared with the emigration rate, the rate of 12 kinds of cyclic silicone are faster in n-hexane and n-heptane than in ethanol.There is no significant difference between n-hexane and n-heptane, but the emigration rate is the lowest in ethanol. The more molecular weight of cyclic silicone,the more obvious the regularity can be. (2) The food simulation temperature has little effect on the migration of cyclic silicone. The migration time has obvious effect on the migration of cyclic silicone. In the early stage of the migration experiment, the migration rate increases very fast. But with the increase of time, the migration speed gradually slows down and eventually most tends to be stable. (3) Increasing the aging temperature can result in a faster migration rate. In other words, with the going up of aging temperature, the time reaching the maximum migration can decrease gradually.This study provides a basis for the safety evaluation of food contact silicone rubber. And it provides a theoretical basis for understanding the contamination of food by cyclic silicone in the food contact silicone rubber.
