Object:To control the engendering and discharging of the main water-contaminant of the pollutant source in Shuimo-river; to give some advise on the pollution prevention and cure of Shuimo-river and the integrated-management of the whole catchment.Method:The quality of water could be comprehensive evaluated and analyzed by force of collecting and collating the data of environment monitoring of water quality from 2005 to 2008 and the general investigation data of every pollutant source in 2007 in Shuimo-river, and by the methods of evaluation with single-factor and index of comprehensive pollution.Results:The main contaminants in the cross section of enamel-factory are SO42", NO3-N and DO; the main contaminants in the cross section of Qifang-bridge are COD, DO and F-; the main contaminants in the cross section of Lianfeng-bridge are COD, Oil and NH3-N; the main contaminants in the cross section of Miquan-bridge are NH3-N, Oil and COD.From 2005 to 2008, the mutative directions of COD in these four cross sections in Shuimo-river were coincident, such as the consistence of COD was the minimum in the cross section of enamel-factory, then increasing in turn, and it could be the maximum in the cross section of Miquan-bridge.From 2006 to 2008, the mutative directions of oil-contaminants in these four cross sections in Shuimo-river were coincident, and the consistence of oil-contaminants increased through the cross sections of enamel-factory, Qifang-bridge, Lianfeng-bridge and Miquan-bridge. In 2005, the consistence of oil-contaminants in the cross sections of Lianfeng-bridge exceeded which in the cross sections of Miquan-bridge, and it was the maximum from 2005 to 2008.The annual average of oil-contaminants in the cross sections of enamel-factory and Qifang-bridge changed little from 2005 to 2008. The annual average of oil-contaminants in the cross section of Lianfeng-bridge changed a lot. The consistence of oil-contaminants in the cross section of Miquan-bridge decreased distinctly.The water quality in the cross sections of enamel-factory changed little from low water period to high water period. The water quality in the cross sections of Qifang-bridge in low water period was better than those in other two period. The water quality in the cross sections of Lianfeng-bridge in normal period was better than those in other two period. The water quality in the cross sections of Miquan-bridge in high water period was the worst one, and then that in low water period and normal period in turn.The quantity of industrial effluent of Shuimo-river in 2007 was 4,145,800 ton, and it was the surface water which had the most industrial COD (3348.27 ton) and oil-contaminants (88.88 ton) in Urumqi. And Shuimo-river had the vital COD (7358.36 ton), the vital ammonia nitrogen (687.81 ton) and animal oil and vegetable oil (545.25 ton).Conclusion:The water in the cross sections of enamel-factory was superstandard which could not reach the criteria for drinking. The water in the cross sections of Qifang-bridge was Level V which could reach the criteria for agricultural irrigating. The water in the cross sections of Lianfeng-bridge and Miquan-bridge were less than Level V which could not reach the criteria for agricultural irrigating. The items whose annual average exceeded standard value V were a lot in Shuimo-river. The annual averages of sulfate, nitrate nitrogen and total nitrogen exceeded the standard lever from the beginning. And the consistence of COD, ammonia nitrogen, oil-contaminants, total phosphor, sulfide, LAS and coli group increased in turn because of the effect of living effluent along the bank. The primary cause was that the living water-contaminant influenced the water quality in Shuimo-river badly.In this article, some advise which were about the prevention and cure of water pollute in Shuimo-river have already been given, such as:1.To improve the guidance for polluted-prevention of Shuimo-river.2.To implement the transformation from water quality to ecological management of water environmental management of Shuimo-river.3.The quantity of water-contaminant of Shuimo-river should be controlled.4.To repair and consummate the bleeder pipe of polluted-water around Shuimo-river.5.To improve monitoring for environment.6.To improve the environmental sense of citizen.
