Boron has irreplaceable use value in national economy and industry of department of defence.For more rational and incremental development the application field of the pig iron containing Boron Northeastern University advanced the new method of producing Boron steel with pig iron conting direct. The essay has analysed desulphurization pretreatment of pig iron containing boron for the hign-content of sulfur. The techniques of hot metal desulfurization pretreatment could emancipate blast furnace and optimize the technical process of ferrous metallurgy.For the high-content of sulfur in pig iron containing boron; study the hot metal desulphurziation pretreatment by injecting CaO based agent, CaC2 based agent and also Magnesium based agent. Analyse the element distribution result of active lime and Boron containing pig iron dipping reaction interface by scanning electronic microscope (SEM). Obtained the following conclusion by the experiment:(1)Desulfurizing using active lime, when the dosage was larger than 20kg/tHM, the content of suphur dropped from 0.1% to 0.01%. The desulphurization efficiency achieved more than 90%.(2)Desulfurizing using CaC2 based agent, when the dosage was larger than 6kg/tHM, the content of suphur dropped from 0.1% to 0.01%.The desulphurization rate was fast. The desulphurization efficiency achieved more than 90%.(3)The difference between desulfurizing using CaC2 and CaO was happening to oxygenate when desulfurizing using CaC2·The oxygen activity was descending simultaneously.(4)When combinating of desulphurizing agent with aluminium the desulphurization efficiency became better. That the transfer of sulfur from the reaction interface to internal layer of CaO grain is the rate controlling step. (5)The SEM pattern and surface scanning element distribution result of Boron containing pig iron with Al adding and active lime dipping reaction interface indicated that the reaction interface of CaO grain was calciu aluminate and calcium ferrite,which was fusing liquid state on the condition of experiment temperature 1400℃,which was in favor of transfering of sulfur.
