Cyclone separator is a kind of equipment that uses rotary motion of gas-solid two-phase fluid to make the solid particle separated from the gas flow by centrifugal force. It is two-phase fluid in the cyclone separator. It is a process of separation to make the solid particle separated from the gas flow, but the movement of solid particles mostly depends on the movement of gas. So it is a prerequisite of revealing the movement of particles to grasp the movement of gas. It is much more experiential to fully understand the velocity of flow field and pressure distribution and the influence of performance parameters, for increasing the capability of cyclone separator, improving the structure of separation.Based on the relative references and research findings, the motion rules and distributions of the particulates were simulated with commercial software ANSYS, determine a reasonable regional of calculation and boundary conditions, and choose an appropriate programmer of numerical simulation. To explore the flow pattern the RNGk-εturbulent model is adopted. Based on the result of numerical simulation, mostly draw the conclusion as following:(1) The main flow in cyclone separator is double vortex, outside of which is the revolved flow downwards, center of which is the revolved flow upwards, and their revolved direction is the same. The tangential velocity outside diameter regional is higher than the velocity of center in the radial direction. It has the characteristic of combination vortex, the inside is norm forced vortex, and the outside is norm free vortex.(2)The distribution of turbulent kinetic energy and turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate is axisymmetric. It is biggest in the region of the upper part of the column space. In cyclone separator, the total pressure in the inlet of separator is highest, and the total pressure in the exhaust pipe is smallest. The distribution of temperature is effected by the distribution of flow field.(3) With the addition of inlet velocity and the depth of exhaust pipe, the pressure-drop of cyclone separator is increasing. With the addition of the bottom diameter of exhaust pipe and the gas temperatures, the pressure-drop of cyclone separator is reducing.The result of this paper can optimize the structure of cyclone separator on CLK style; it can provide important reference for improving separation efficiency of the cyclone separator, reducing the pressure drop and power consumption. It has a good value.
