Spontaneous combustion of sulfide ores was one of the major disasters in sulfur depositmin ing. Often resulting in injury and equipment, facilities, damage, seriously affecting thenormal production of mine. Therefore, to study the sulfide ores spontaneous combustion riskprediction techniques, would have a big significance for mining the sulfur deposit safely.In this paper, a wide range of access to domestic and foreign literature and systematicallysummed up the results of previous studies, based on the use of theoretical analysis,experimental verification, mathematical models and other research method, heap on thesulfur-containing ore forecasting techniques conducted in-depth study.The main research contents of this paper are summarized as follows:(1) The sulfur content of ores by physical adsorption mechanism of low-temperatureoxidation, biological oxidation mechanism, the mechanism of chemical thermodynamics,electrochemical mechanism of oxygen-evolving complex mechanism of mineral analysis, putforward a new method of determination of spontaneous combustion tendency ofsulfur-containing ores, indicators systems and standards, the method is used to mine the actualproof, identification result is reliable. In the above study, based on the spontaneouscombustion tendency to build a sulfur-containing ore grading standards.(2) Using the porous media, fluid mechanics and heat transfer by value theories ofsulfide ores heap to establish a mathematical model of gas flow and the thermal conductivityof sulfide ores heap of internal mathematical model. Because the model is a multi-parametermathematical model, which has many of the specific parameters must be determined, but for different stope, different types of ore heap, the corresponding parameter is not the same.Introduced for the thermal conductivity of sulfur-containing ore within the parameters ofmathematical model solution to determine the method and process.(3) Based on the above theory and experiments, to analyze preventing technicalmeasures of sulfide ores. Through theoretical analysis and experimental study on the water,ventilation and cooling, ore fragmentation techniques in the prevention of spontaneouscombustion of sulfur-containing ores in the role of a systematic evaluation and submitted acomprehensive fire prevention measures.
