Fixed-axis power shift transmission is typical transmission of construction machinery. In order to cut down the cost and rudecue dependence of the abroad products,a new Fixed-axis transmission will be developed. The transmission demands the torque converter with high value to match it.There are few factories which can produce torque converters which are with equal value as abroad's for construction machinery in our country. The paper take the torque converter(include the case) of the power shift transmission of MHR32000 series of DANA as research object. With the CMM,the digital model of the case is built the method of stepwise measure. With the analysis of flow channel in the case, the distribution of the oil circuit in the case and the auxiliary system of the converter are got. With 3DSS scanning instrument and the module of reverse engineering in CATIA, the digital models of converter wheels are built. The models of passages of each wheel are modified and the periodic domains are got.With.ICEM CFD,the. grids of the periodic domains are generated by hexa mesh and the grids of the domains near the blades are refined with O-RRID.In the FLUENT,the method of MRF is used and the data of each wheel is transferred by profiles of the wheels. With Press-Based slover, the stand k-εof turbulence model, SIMPLIC algorithm, second order upwind scheme,pressure-inlet and pressure-outlet conditions, three rotation ratios of turbine wheel and bump wheel are computed. part of the computed results are contrasted with the manual. That proves the geometrical model for simulation is correct and the converter is of high value to meet the actual needs.
