Study On Basic Design And Stealthy Performance Of A Trimaran Warship

As a new type of ship with unique good performance, the trimaran has recently been attracting the world's attention. Many countries, which are advanced in shipbuilding industry, devoted their enthusiasm to this concept, and there have been a few trimaran ships on service so far. Many investigations have been done in china, which the content mainly focused on the aspects such as hydrodynamic theory,model experiment and so on, quite few are about the general design . Consequently, the general design of trimaran warship has been done in the present paper, in which focused primarily on basic design, intact stability, damaged stability, stealthy performance and so on. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1,The development of trimaran and principle of the general design are reviewed and concluded, and also the calculation principle of trimaran warship stability is analyzed.2,Taking one ship model as the parent ship and employing the LINES module of TRIBON to complete the trimaran warship's lines design.3,Completing the drawing of general arrangement and estimation of weight and center of gravity for the trimaran warship.4,Computing the intact stability and Damaged Stability when the side hull is damaged with the use of TRIBON software's calculation modules.5,The optimal design on the radar stealthy performance is studied for the military naval vessel. According to the principle theory and method of naval vessel shape optimal design considering the radar stealthy performance and also in views of previous research results, the shape optimal design considering the radar stealthy performance is carried out and finally the design scheme of the trimaran warship is proposed in the current paper; The calculation principle and method of the ship's RCS value are analyzed and also the radar stealthy performance is evaluated by the value of RCS obtained from the software CST.
