Gas Turbine toward the use of high hydrogen-containing impurities more low calorific value and low-quality fuel gas development, and part of the gas turbine even use heavy oil, which made the ignition system a high technical requirements. Continuous arc plasma ignition as a new ignition mode to improve the combustion characteristics and the startup characteristics of gas turbine.In this paper, a continuous arc plasma ignition technology for gas turbine were studied. First, with the continuous arc plasma ignition mechanism and the characteristics of plasma arc, choose a weak arc region as the work area. And accordance the design featuresin of the ignition, proposed the high-voltage breakdown, low maintenance way of working. Second, for the high and low voltage, two parts are designed. They are the high-frequency igniter and the main power supply circuit. The main Power supply circuit using half-bridge switching topology. Using the Pulse-width modulation (PWM) technology to control the power, and the control method was double-loop current feedback control voltage limit. The design ideas were Hall current sensor control circuit with feedback - TL494 PWM control chip pulse-width - IR2110 power amplifier driver MOSFET switch. The main transformer was designed in detail parameters and the method of winding is given. It also has designed the input rectifier, surge current suppression, switch protection circuit features such as a protective circuit.Using ORCAD made the power circuit simulation, and designed an experimental prototype system ,the test results show good agreement with the simulation results.
