A successful computer system can not be separated from a friendly human-computer interface(HCI),and friendly HCI can not be separated from evaluation of the interface. The usability is one of the key indicators to weight the HCI, but there is no uniform quality standards for the evaluation of Electronic Chart System HCI, designers rarely carry out usability testing and evaluation on the Electronic Chart System HCI. Although the function was realized, the Electronic Chart System HCI may not be reasonable, thus consumer application will be affected.The thesis proposes an usability evaluation method suitable to Electronic Chart System, the study on usability of HCI is introduced into the processing of design and development about Electronic Chart System, and problems on the usability of Electronic Chart System HCI will be found timely, so as to improve the usability and using efficiency of Electronic Chart System, and provide scientific basis for obtaining concise HCI and user-satisfied Electronic Chart System. The main work is as following:Firstly, it researches the method of current HCI usability evaluation and proposes Electronic Chart System HCI usability evaluation methods with quantitative and qualitative analysis:user model, usability testing, questionnaire.Secondly,to design scheme A base on monofile and design scheme B base on dialog, build the Electronic Chart System user operation diagram of scheme A and scheme B,compare to implement efficiency with Keystroke-Level Model,achieve quantitative test of Electronic Chart System;design Electronic Chart System user satisfaction questionnaire by Adobe Designer 7.0 software,and achieve qualitative test of Electronic Chart System by this user satisfaction questionnaire, summarize aspect of satisfaction and dissatisfaction.Where after, example test on Electronic Chart System by adopting usability testing method was carried out, realized automatic collect work time of user by designing procedure, then obtain some quantitative result of production usability question by data of statistic examination.
