Coal mine substation monitoring system generally divided into three parts: the ground control master station, underground monitoring sub-stations and power monitoring protection devices at present. Underground monitoring sub-stations working as the switching equipment between monitoring protection devices and the ground monitoring master station plays a linking role in this system, which is the key point in promising its daily running. All kinds of information collected from underground are responded to a ground control stations timely for achieving the data exchange between them to meet the requirements of real-time control. In this paper, the main researches object is the contest about underground monitoring sub-stations.This paper puts emphasis on the hardware and software design towards underground monitoring sub-stations. According to the functions of this design, ARM S3C2410 is selected as the core processor. CAN bus interface circuit, the Ethernet interface circuit, RS-485 interface circuits and communication-related circuits are all contrived in this thesis. Other core circuits, such as FLASH, SDRAM are expanded. The USB interface makes the expansion of the new sub-station communication protocol easy to achieve. With consideration to software design, national standard of 103 regular formulations is satisfied. Then CAN regular compliance between monitoring sub-station and the protection device is given to accelerate transmission speed of fault information when protective relay falls out of work. Improvements for real-time response to this the whole system are made by the design of CAN message. Finally, messages carrying out the inferred regular formulations and programming routines are present.With deep study on this equipment, the real-time supervision towards daily running of underground substation could be realized, which can effectively reduce the rate of accident occurrences.
