Ceramsite aggregate concrete is widely applied in engineering due to have light-weight, and performance such as thermal insulation, fire resistance, earthquake resistance and other excellent performance. Ceramsite aggregate concrete have greater advantages whether in performance, economy and environment aspects.It is a very broad application prospects of new green building materials. It's not only applies to high-rise buildings, bridges and other large-span structural engineering, but also have wider significance for a variety of civil engineering. Ceramsite aggregate concrete is confected used the local shale Ceramsite in Changsha, and the workability of Ceramsite aggregate concrete is studied by experiment and theoretical analysis in this thesis.The effect of the ceramic properties, mineral admixtures, additives and construction process on the workability of Ceramsite aggregate concrete is researched based on the study of composition and structure of Ceramsite aggregate concrete in this paper. It also established an evaluation system of the working performance of Ceramsite aggregate concrete, which include delamination degree, slump constant and divergence. The technique parameters of the good working performance of Ceramsite aggregate concrete are summarized as well.The paper studied the pumpability of Ceramsite aggregate concrete, analysed the water absorption of Ceramsite on the influnce of pumpability, and influencing factors of pumping pressure loss, proposed control measures to reduce pressure loss as well. The paper explained the reasons for segregation of the Ceramsite aggregate concrete and put forward corresponding measures to reduce the occurrence of the phenomenon of segregation. The paper also analysed the slump loss mechanism and influencing factors of Ceramsite aggregate concrete, proposed control measures include raw materials,mix proportion and temperature control to reduce the slump loss, thus resolving the poor pump problem of pumping concrete.The paper reserched the bonding performance of Ceramsite aggregate concrete, that obtained the bonding capacity of concrete with age development and the relationship between anchoring conditions and the bonding performance of Ceramsite aggregate concrete based on the pull-out test and test data analysis. The bonding performance of the Ceramsite aggregate concrete and ordinary aggregate concrete is comparatively analysed and that shows the bonding properties of Ceramsite aggregate concrete is not worse than ordinary aggregate concrete.At last, the quality of Ceramsite aggregate concrete is controled from the there aspects of raw materials, mix proportion and construction process. The construction procedure of concrete in various processes is detailed during the quality control of construction process, that reflected the differences of the construction technology between Ceramsite aggregate concrete and ordinary aggregate concrete. This paper provided some guidance for the construction of Ceramsite aggregate concrete.
