PV has no pollution, no noise, an inexhaustible supply advantages, will play an important role in the future power supply system. The output characteristics of photovoltaic cells greatly affected by the external environment, the main factors is the cell surface temperature and sunlight intensity. As low conversion efficiency, very expensive and large initial investment of photovoltaic cells, so with Maximum Power Point Tracking (Maximum Power Point Tracking, MPPT) control to improve the efficiency of PV systems become necessary, thus achieve the objective of full use of solar energy.This paper studies the output characteristics of photovoltaic cells, analyzes several existing maximum power point tracking control algorithm works, and compare their advantages and disadvantages. This paper based on the traditional PID algorithm, adding the fuzzy predictive control, according to the fuzzy control's adaptability, robustness and is not dependent on the precision model of controlled object characteristics, thus making it suitable for the output characteristics of photovoltaic power generation system[1]. Meanwhile, to reduce the uncertainty of weather factors on the maximum power point, the algorithm adds the prediction power function. According to the detected external environmental data and historical power generation data to establish fuzzy control forecasting model, to speed up the fuzzy control, at the same time can improve the prediction accuracy. As a developed branch of intelligent controlling techniques, the fuzzy control has much more advantages than conventional methods[2]. Consequently, it is significant to research on tracking the maximum power point of the PV array using a fuzzy controller.Firstly, this paper introduced the relative technology of Maximum Power Point Tracking and the other method used at present, the following is the cause and the realization of using fuzzy control. This paper upgrade the solar inverter product of a company, including the goal and the realization of BOOST module design. Then, the fuzzy control algorithm with weather forecasts is described. At last, it gives software design and test. Base on the PID control algorithm, the aim of this paper is that the IGBT can be controlled to adjust input voltage and current by using Fuzzy control algorithm with weather forecasting in BOOST board to acquire the stability of output Maximum Power. Although the BOOST Controller described in this paper is still a prototype, to a certain extent, it experts the application of the fuzzy control in solar inverter, the implementation of this paper provides valuable reference to the developers in the related fields.
