Energy sources are like the body blood. As a novel green and renewable energy, the solar energy is abundant, economic and non-pollution. With the energy crisis and worsing of environment pollution taken into consideration, the power generation system based on solar energy has attracted a lot of attention and the solar photovoltaic energy technology has been the focus which people attend to. Aims at how to increase the efficiency of conversion for the photovoltaic energy system, this paper carried out researches on the solar controller with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and the fuzzy parameter self-tuning PID control method is adopted in the paper to achieve the MPPT control of PV system. Simulation results demonstrate that the method adopted has gained comparatively satisfactory effects in handling both control precision and control speed, and kept the system working invariably with the greatest output power. The grid-connected PV system enjoys bright prospect in the future. At last, the control strategy is applied to the maximum power point tracking control of single-stage grid-connected PV system in combination with the harmonic elimination PWM control of inverter to achieve grid-connected operation with high efficiency.
