In recent years,energy and environmental issues have been widely concerned. Photovoltaic power generation has many advantages,such as clean, non-pollution and inexhaustible etc.The solar photovoltaic power generation system have been studied by many countries in the world.The output characteristics of photovoltaic cells affected by light intensity and temperature.Under a certain temperature and light intensity, there is a maximum value of the output power of the photovoltaic cell,that is, the maximum power point(Maximum Power Point, MPP).The output power of photovoltaic cell could be rapidly improved by photovoltaic maximum power point tracking control method.In this paper, the maximum power point tracking problem of independent photovoltaic power generation system is studied.The simulation model of photovoltaic cells is established under the Simulink module in MATLAB, and the output characteristic curve of PV cells is studied.The photovoltaic maximum power point tracking working principle has been analyzed several common methods of maximum power point tracking are compared and analyzed. The fuzzy control method is very suitable for the nonlinear system with uncertain mathematical model,the output characteristics of photovoltaic cells greatly affected by light intensity and temperature of the nonlinear,So the fuzzy control method is used to control photovoltaic maximum power point tracking system.The simulation model of photovoltaic power generation system is built under the Simulink module in MATLAB.The maximum power point of the photovoltaic power generation system is controlled by the fuzzy control method in PLC.In order to design the system can be applied in practical engineering, the fuzzy control module was written under the Rockwell's Control Logix5000 programming software.RSLinx software is dedicated to the communication connection,build OPC communication platform can be set by RSLinx and use OPC technology.Real time transmission of data between PLC devices and MATLAB is done by OPC,fuzzy control system for maximum power point tracking of photovoltaic power generation system, improve the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation system.
