Research On The Gate Through Capacity In Tianjin Container Terminal

Since opening up, China's national economy has maintained rapid growth。So the port and container industry has rapid development. Especially in recent years, China Container transportation has achieved brilliant results. Container terminal is a complete and complex operating system. Gate in this system, is very important as role of the throat of people. The randomness and uncertainty of the external container trucks and the specificity of related tasks, make the gate which contacts with the internal operation of the port, an insurmountable obstacle.On the basis of the gate operating practice, this paper made some research on the factors affecting container terminal gate capacity and the ways to improve the gate capacity. The paper first reviews the domestic and foreign research statue on Container Terminal System and draw out the technical line of the paper. Secondly, on the basis of explaining the set features, layout and organization of container terminal, this paper made analyses on the container terminal gate operating system and processes. And then get the queuing characteristics of the gate operating system and related evaluation indexes. After that, this paper made analysis on the status of gate operations for TCT, and pointed the advantages and problems of the gate operating in TCT. Meanwhile, this paper summarized the important factors of impacting on gate operating efficiency. Introducing the queuing theory and probability theory, this paper established a Tianjin Port Container Terminal (TCT) gate queuing system model based on general queuing network model. Finally, this paper figured out the related indicators of this container terminal gate operating queuing system and made the sensitivity analysis of uncertainty factors. Then, Propose the specific measures to improve the Tianjin Port Container Terminal (TCT) gate capacity, and draw the conclusion.
