Over the years,with the development of world economy and international trade,container transportation has made great progress.Container transportation is a transportation mode composed of many links,and the container terminal is the key hinge of the sea and land transportation mode in container transportation,it's throughput capacity greatly affected the overall operation efficiency of the container logistics chain.The container terminal system is composed of berth subsystem,yard subsystem and transportation subsystem and handling subsystem,the inefficiency of any subsystem will affect the whole capacity of the container terminal.The gate of container terminal is an important part of the collection and distribution system,is a key node in the docks as external container trucks,and is like "throat" to the container terminal.Because of the particularity of the gate operation and external truck arrival time uncertainty,the throughput capacity of the container terminal is often restricted by the gate.The focus of this paper is how to effectively use the existing resources of the gate and increase the gate capacity,so that we can coordinate the gate with berth,and yard.This paper takes Dalian container terminal DCT as the research object.Firstly,the container terminal port through capacity and related theories are reviewed.And the general calculation method is discussed here.Then,the present situation of DCT container terminal is described in detail,especially the DCT container terminal gate current operation,and analysis the advantages and the disadvantages of the DCT container terminal gate.Based on the discussion of queuing theory,we choose the gate queuing method to determine the distribution system of random events,and propose the container terminal queuing system model,then the limitations of general mathematical methods are analyzed,so that using Matlab queuing system simulation to solve problem.An empirical calculation based on two situations:container' s submitting and container's taking is done.Then it analyzes the influence factors,that shows the effects of the container trucks arrivaling's law and the operating time.Finally,according to the calculation results and the actual situation of DCT container terminal,it proposes three proposals that seting parking buffer,speeding up the construction of intelligent gate and making an appointment before arrivaling of the container trucks.
