It is a technology trend that monitoring and overhauling electric power equipments online. It has been a study hotspot how to transfer the state data of electric power equipments to monitor center safely and cheaply.Smart Grid puts forward higher requirements to substation, this paper first puts forward distributed on-line monitoring system based on WSN technology. The system uses GPS positioning technology to ensure sampling synchronization. This method which changed the traditional means of communication, avoid the difficulties caused by traditional ways, for example the difficulty of layout wires, relatively high cost.Wireless technology, especially in short-range wireless communication technology, is already widely used in many fields. ZigBee technology has some special advantages, which is suitable for use in capacitive equipments on-line monitoring. The ZigBee wireless network system Company was designed based on the JN5129 module of Jennic. This paper designed the data transfer module and backplane and related software processes. The paper presented its power supply circuit, serial communication circuit, Zigbee wireless network establishment and communication flow were presented in detail.Finally, the communication experiment of the data transfer module proved the effectiveness of the communication. Through experiments, using GPS timing synchronization completed the measurement of dielectric loss.
