The mixed traffic flow composed of motorized vehicle, nonmotorized vehicle and pedestrian is one of the important reasons for China's urban traffic congestion. Based on the analysis of bicycle flow, it is of great significance to establish bicycle flow models for urban traffic management, traffic flow organization and traffic safety.Based on the analysis of bicycle characteristics, hybrid Microscopic-Mesoscopic bicycle flow model and a new Extended Cellular Automaton Model were developed in this paper. The main contributions of this paper were concluded as follows:(â… ) Based on the bicycle characteristics of the free flow speed distribution curve and the triangular distribution of relation between speed and density, the actual bicycle speed was considered to be a result of the combined effect of rational speed and desired speed. The influence relationship was introduced to the original CA model, and a realistic bicycle flow model based on Cellular Automaton with desired speed was established.(â…¡) According to the phenomena that bicycle traffic flow moved in groups, a Group-Unit Mesoscopic bicycle flow model was established, which could reflect the movement and split-merge behavior of bicycle groups. A switch between Micro-Meso models was proposed to establish a hybrid Micro-Meso bicycle flow model, which met the requirements of model accuracy with different levels.(â…¢) To increase the expansibility of the microscopic model, a new Extended Cellular Automaton Model was proposed. The model used hierarchical structure of the model framework and vehicle decision matrix calculation to transform the complex location decision problem into simple probability solution. Take modeling the bicycle flow on road section as an example, the general road scene and jam scene were simulated.(â…£) Vehicle navigation information matrix was introduced into the Extended CA modeling theory, in order to establish Extended CA intersection bicycle traffic flow model and analyze different inflow of the roads. (â…¤) Parallel Cellular Automaton Structure with Heterogeneity was introduced into the Extended Cellular Automaton modeling theory, in order to establish Extended CA mixed traffic flow model. Take modeling the mixed traffic flow composed of bicycle and electric bicycle as an example, mixing ratio and management were analyzed.
