Self-leveling floor material is a new ground leveling materials which used organic or inorganic binder as base material and joined various additives. The crucial properties is perfect fluidity for leveling concrete substrate and eliminating unflatness and defect in traditional floor. And the final covering such as a carpet or parquet can be applied on the floor.With further promoting and appling of foreign dry mortar technology in china, the superior performance was gradually admited by domestic enterprises. More research should be done on technical performance and composition of mortar for excellent workability and later hardened performance although there was many excellences in cementitious self-leveling floor material.Now, high cost of self-leveling materials made customers accepted hardly for large area use in construction because there were some problems for the application and construction in our country. So this research has solved the high cost issue by flowing two aspects. On the one hand, slag powder used as filler mixed into self-leveling mortar and replaced a part of cement. On the other hand, slag sand used as coarse filler in this study directly form furnace was sieved into a stable gradation to replace quartz Sand and exploited a new field in disposing industrial by studying the effects on the performance of mortar and adjusting the addition and type for kinds of addtive. Industrial solid waste of Wuhan Iron & Steel Company were used as raw material in self-leveling mortar for environmental and economical benefits.Test results show that the addition of slag powder and sand can explore great performance self-leveling mortar. The content of the research included:1) The domestic SM water reducing admixture has the cost-effective advantage, more superior fluidity and mechanical properties compared with foreign water reducing admixture. Meanwhile, mixing coarse sand could improve the fluidity and mechanical properties of mortar. 2) Slag powder with a surface area of 350 m2/kg displayed excellent pozzolanic activity.And all replacement of slag powder used as filler could got more mechanical properties.3) With increasing of cement addition the strength increased gradually. Taking the cost and mechanical properties of mortar into consideration, the admixture of 18% P.O and 12% CA were selected.4) The strength of the mixture of slag and quartz sand was higher than it used only. And higher strength could got by using slag sand than that of quartz sand.5) Compared with the effect of other rastaders on performance of mortar, DB-G showed better fluidity and vastly improved the mechanical properties.Choosing 0.3% DB-G as the optimal amount in mortar, the strength reached 38.8MPa on 28d.
