To study the intelligent lighting strategy for photovoltaic lighting system, research on the forecast method of State-of-Charge (SOC) for energy storage equipment (lead-acid batteries) and the lighting driving circuit of lighting appliances (LED) is needed. We pay emphasis on studying the forecast method of State-of-Charge (SOC) for Lead-acid batteries and the lighting driving circuit of LED.This paper firstly introduces the basic characteristics of lead-acid batteries and focuses on its discharge properties. Several common forecast method about lead-acid batteries State-of-charge (SOC) is analysed and their advantages and disadvantages are compared. In this paper, we adopt a kind of intelligent control method—Fuzzy control to forecast the residual capacity of lead-acid batteries and achieve the simulation of MATLAB software. With contrasting to the experiment data of the same condition, we adjust the parameters of fuzzy forecasting model. The suitability and accuracy of fuzzy forecasting model is verified. According to the SOC predicted, the intelligent lighting strategy about photovoltaic lighting system is concluded and it can be used in practice.Then the basic characteristics and glowing principle of LED is introduced, the necessity of a constant-current driver for LED is analyzed. In this paper, a constant-current driver for LED, which adopt BUCK switch mode power supply modulated by PWM, is achieved and designed.
